Hannibal Barca, born in 247 BC, was a Carthaginian general and is widely considered one of the greatest military commanders in history. He is possibly most well-known because of his ability to tame elephants, which he then used to cross the Alps to get to Italy.

Barca lived right before Rome's golden age, when Roman generals were attempting to conquer land in order to increase Rome's size and grandeur. Barca was able to continue the offensive and conquer several Italian cities that were allied to Rome. It was thanks to him that Northwest Africa was able to maintain their independence for as long as they did. Barca was a brilliant strategist and after his defeat, Roman generals used the tactics deployed by Barca to help them fight and win wars.

We named this unique folding knife after Hannibal Barca because of its exquisite carved buffalo bone handles. This feels like a knife that would be gifted to someone with such an incredible life. This knife comes with two brass thumb openers and has an ambidextrous design so it can be used by either a right-handed or left-handed person. The stainless steel liner has the liner-lock built in so it does not add any unnecessary thickness to the knife. This incredibly unique handmade Damascus steel folder will be a prized knife in your collection and a great conversation piece.

Incredible knives

I recently bought a total of 5 knives, 3 of them were ordered from the Blem line. I am very impressed with all of the knives. I purchased these for gifts and everyone loved them. Thank for the knives and the attention to detail that you offer.

Bone knife

It is incredibly sharp and as well as I expected. The only problem I have is that it requires both hands to open either to the angle in conflict with the position of the blade, or just because if friction. I don't know which one it is, but other than that It is incredibly good.

Fantastic

I love the knife. I've had my eye on it for over a year, but I am cheap. The Blemish knife was priced at a point that I couldn't resist. The only blemish I can find on mine is maybe some discoloring on the bone where it meets the liner. Not noticeable without looking closely. My only wish is that the knife had a pocket clip instead of a belt pouch. It would make the knife much more easy to access as part of my EDC.

Why Forseti Steel?

Each Knife is Unique

All of our knives are made by hand and crafted one at a time. That is why no two knives are the same. The knife you receive will be similar to what you see on our site, but will be unique based on the natural materials used and individual craftsman that built the knife.

Testimonials

Love this knife! Compact design, nice grip, feels comfortable in your hand--very sharp blade! As a side for the ladies--it fits in the smallest of bags. You won't be disappointed if you buy it!
