Boone Damascus Steel Skinner
FS-1848
Regular price $99.99Daniel Boone lived larger than life and is frequently the archetypal Western hero of American folklore. Boone was famous for hunting and trapping, exploration, being a militia officer, surveyor, and merchant. He even founded the village of Boonesborough, Kentucky.
In 1776, Boone’s daughter and two other teenage girls were captured by an Indian war party who carried the girls away from Boonesborough. Boone and a few men pursued after them and caught them two days later. While the Indian’s were stopping for food, Boone and his men ambushed the group. They rescued the girls and drove off their captors. This was one of the most iconic stories of Boone’s life and was memorialized in a fictionalized version of the story in The Last of the Mohicans.
We have named this small skinning knife after Daniel Boone as we feel it would be a knife he would have carried on his many adventures. Made of 1095 and 15n20 steels, the high carbon content of 1095 gives this knife an extremely sharp and durable edge and makes it the ideal choice for a skinning knife. The compact blade and large handle gives the user exceptional control. A forefinger groove and ground ridges along the spine gives the user plenty of leverage when using the knife. A lanyard hole finishes off this great knife and makes it easy to draw from the leather holster. Whether you are a hunter or just want a great knife for EDC, this is the perfect choice for the discerning collector.

Care Instructions
1095 steel is a high-carbon steel and will rust if not dried and oiled after use. Hand wash only with soap and hot water. Dry completely before oiling.
This knife is absolutely gorgeous, the pattern on the steel is amazing. It also came extremely sharp! The sheath quality is very good, my only complaint is that in the picture on the website the sheath appeared to be horizontal carry which I was looking forward to, but when I got it the sheath was vertical carry. I am making it work and have carried it everyday since I got it! It also shipped very fast which is awesome. I’m already thinking about buying another knife!
Over the last couple of years, I've bought several knives from this company, mostly for gifts but plenty for me also. I've never been disappointed with any of them, Including this knife. Very well-crafted and very sharp .I'm confident I will get many years out of it.
The knife overall looks good. The twist-pattern Damascus is nice and stands out well. The horizontal-carry scabbard is exactly what I was looking for. I wish that was an option on more knives that Forseti sold. The feel of the knife is good with a good weight to the blade. It was a little on the dull side, but I was able to sharpen it to my liking fairly quick. I like that oil was included. The only negative that I have is that there was a small scuff on the knife as if someone touched it with a belt sander. I recommend this manufacturer and will look at them for the next knife I purchase.
I believe at this point I have ordered 6 or 7 knives from you boys. We love them. Many have been gifts, several for myself. I don’t buy knives from anyone else.
I really like the knife, not so happy with the sheath. Would have preferred a vertical carry.
