Daniel Boone lived larger than life and is frequently the archetypal Western hero of American folklore. Boone was famous for hunting and trapping, exploration, being a militia officer, surveyor, and merchant. He even founded the village of Boonesborough, Kentucky.

In 1776, Boone’s daughter and two other teenage girls were captured by an Indian war party who carried the girls away from Boonesborough. Boone and a few men pursued after them and caught them two days later. While the Indian’s were stopping for food, Boone and his men ambushed the group. They rescued the girls and drove off their captors. This was one of the most iconic stories of Boone’s life and was memorialized in a fictionalized version of the story in The Last of the Mohicans.

We have named this small skinning knife after Daniel Boone as we feel it would be a knife he would have carried on his many adventures. Made of 1095 and 15n20 steels, the high carbon content of 1095 gives this knife an extremely sharp and durable edge and makes it the ideal choice for a skinning knife. The compact blade and large handle gives the user exceptional control. A forefinger groove and ground ridges along the spine gives the user plenty of leverage when using the knife. A lanyard hole finishes off this great knife and makes it easy to draw from the leather holster. Whether you are a hunter or just want a great knife for EDC, this is the perfect choice for the discerning collector.

Fantastic camp craft or hunting knife

Very well made camp craft and hunting knife. The wood and damascus steel combines to make a knife that's practical and strong, stays sharp and looks great.

Joke

Total deception!
I expected to receive a dagger, it's barely bigger than a pocket knife! Daniel Boon would never have survived in the forest with this pocket knife!
For me, this is a scam!

Hi Luc,
I'm sorry you thought the Boone was a dagger. We try to show the knives from many different angles so you can fully see the knife. We generally also say the knife is a 'dagger' if it is a dagger and not a knife. We also put dimensions so you know how large or small the knife is. You are more than welcome to return the knife and we will refund your money. Please send an email to support@forsetisteel.com and we can your return started.

Nice knife Not sharp

The Boone Damascus Skinner is the right size for a daily carry.
The I got has a flat spot from the tip about a quarter of an inch in
the rest of the blade has a good edge on it.

Nice knife poor stealth

Love the knife, unfortunately lost it on first hike due to the sheath coming undone. Like previous review I wish they made a vertical sheath.

Love this knife! Compact design, nice grip, feels comfortable in your hand--very sharp blade! As a side for the ladies--it fits in the smallest of bags. You won't be disappointed if you buy it!
