It has a deep 2” blade that protects your fingers and knuckles while using the knife and allows you to grip the knife in different ways.
Handmade of Damascus Steel, this chef knife is meant to be used. This knife is designed after the popular Kodiak San Mai Steel Chef Knife. We have had many requests to make this same chef knife in other steels, the first being Damascus Steel.

1095 steel is a high-carbon steel and will rust if not dried and oiled after use. Hand wash only with soap and hot water. Dry completely before oiling.
