Since the beginning of time a chef has been an esteemed position in our society. Whether a tribe, a family, or in a 5-star restaurant, the chef, or Cuisinier, has been able to sustain and woo us with their culinary skills. A "Cuisinier" is a French term for chef. We named this gorgeous Damascus steel chef knife Cuisinier because we felt it gave respect to the men and women who make cooking their profession or hobby.

Our 8” handmade Damascus steel chef knife will reinvigorate your cooking. This knife is by no means a dainty tool. Weighing half a pound, it is a beast of a knife and will easily chop through vegetables with authority, while giving you enough heft to slice through meat and bone. Made of 1095 and 15n20 steels, the high carbon content of 1095 gives this knife and extremely sharp and durable edge and makes it the ideal choice for chefs around the world. High carbon steels are much easier to sharpen than stainless steel knives as well. Over time, your Cuisinier will take on a beautiful patina and will truly become a one of a kind piece of art that is completely yours.

Forseti Cuisiniar Blem Chefs knife

First, this knife is stunning. It was purchased as a blem, and for the life of me, i can't find a blemish in it. Its light, and agile in the hand. The handle is a little thinner than Im used to, but the handle transitions you into a light fast chopping grip, or a pinch grip. Its very comfortable. It came very sharp right out of the box. It holds an edge great, which i fully expected with a 1095/ 15N20 damascus steel. After my first week of constant use, i gave it 5 strokes on each side on my strop, and its shaving sharp again. I could not be happier. Thank you Forseti for the opportunity to own one of your knives at an unbelieveable discount. Finally, for the negative reviewers complaining about rust. Do some research. 1095, and 15N20 are HIGH carbon, LOW alloy steels. If you dont care for it properly, it WILL rust, agressively so. If you cant care for it properly, go back to low grade stainless so you can ignore cutlery maintenance, and save yourself the trouble, and save Forseti a bad review due to your negligence. I would buy again without hesitation. Mike C.

Blem Chef Knife

It has no edge. It's more like a piece of metal with a handle. I'm glad I bought the blem and not the more expensive one if they have the same edge.

Beautiful gift

I make cutting boards for friends and to be able to give them a knife with it is awesome. I chose the Blem knife because it’s a great way to learn how to take care of a steel knife and a nice board.

Why Forseti Steel?

Love this knife! Compact design, nice grip, feels comfortable in your hand--very sharp blade! As a side for the ladies--it fits in the smallest of bags. You won't be disappointed if you buy it!
