Every Forseti knife is forged by hand and earns its place through our six-point Bench Check before it ships. It leaves our shop sharp, sound, and pristine, ready for a lifetime of use.
No two are exactly alike, and that is the point. That standard is exactly why we can back every knife three ways.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If your knife is not right for you, send it back within 30 days for a full refund. No lectures, no hassle. The knife should come back in the condition you received it. (Engraved and Blem knives are final sale, see below.)
Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty
We don’t ship knives with defects, period. Every blade passes the six-point Bench Check and leaves our shop pristine. This warranty isn’t a hedge against that. It’s our confidence that the way we build a knife holds up for a lifetime of real use.
So we back every Forseti knife against any fault in materials or workmanship for as long as you own it. Use it hard. In the rare event a knife ever fails because of how it was made, not how it was used, we will repair or replace it, free of charge. If that knife is no longer available, we will replace it with one of equal value. That is our craftsmanship, guaranteed for life.
What the warranty does not cover
Our knives are made from high-carbon Damascus steel. High-carbon steel is prized for its edge and its character, and it is also reactive by nature. It will develop a patina over time, and it can rust if it is left wet, stored damp, or not oiled. That is the nature of the steel, not a defect, and it is why care matters. The lifetime warranty does not cover:
- Rust, corrosion, staining, or patina
- Normal wear, dulling, scratches, or cosmetic aging
- Damage from misuse, abuse, prying, throwing, batoning beyond reason, or modification
- Damage from improper sharpening, storage, or cleaning
- The natural variation between handmade knives
- Lost or stolen knives
- Blem knives
As the makers, Forseti Steel determines what qualifies as a defect.
Lifetime Sharpening Service
A sharp knife is a knife that gets used, so we keep yours sharp for life. Send us any Forseti knife and we will restore its factory edge and return it to you, free of charge. You cover shipping; the sharpening is on us, for as long as you own the knife.
- Email us at support@forsetisteel.com and tell us the knife is coming in for sharpening.
- Pack it safely (blade guarded, snug in the box) and ship it to us. We recommend insuring it; we are not responsible for loss or damage in transit.
- We sharpen it, give it a once-over, and ship it back. Most knives turn around within 1 to 2 weeks of arriving.
We restore the original edge. We do not re-profile, re-grind, or repair damage through this service (that falls under repairs, below).
Repairs
Damaged a knife outside of warranty? Email support@forsetisteel.com with a description and a few photos. We will tell you whether we can fix it and what it will cost. Many things are fixable.
Engraved Knives
Custom engraved knives are made to order, just for you, so all engraved sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged under the money-back guarantee. Double-check your text before you order. Engraved knives are still fully covered by the lifetime craftsmanship warranty and lifetime sharpening, and if the engraving error is ours, we will make it right at no charge.
Blem Knives
All Blem sales are final. Blems are not covered by the money-back guarantee or the lifetime warranty, and cannot be returned or exchanged. They are still welcome back for the lifetime sharpening service.
