Our Lifetime Warranty Is Real. Here's What That Actually Means.
Most companies say "lifetime warranty" the way they say "premium quality." It's on the box, it sounds good, and nobody expects to test it. We'd rather just tell you the truth: ours is real, we honor it, and here's exactly what that covers, plus the one thing that actually causes most of the calls we get.
What "Lifetime" means here
Every Forseti knife carries a lifetime warranty against structural defects: steel integrity, handle failure, anything that points to how the knife was made rather than how it's been used. If something's wrong with the knife itself, we fix it or replace it. No expiration date, no fine print designed to get us out of it. Email support@forsetisteel.com and a real person looks at it.
The honest part nobody in this industry likes to say
Here's what we won't dress up: most of what people worry is a "defect" on their first Damascus knife isn't a defect. It's rust. High-carbon steel, the same steel that lets these knives take and hold a genuinely sharp edge, will spot or discolor if you put it away wet. That's not a flaw in the knife. That's just what high-carbon steel does, and it's the tradeoff for an edge that stainless steel can't match.

How to keep your knife from ever needing the warranty
Hand wash it, dry it immediately. Never let it air dry, and never run it through the dishwasher.
Wipe the blade with a light coat of mineral oil (or camellia oil) if it'll sit for more than a few days between uses.
If you see a light spot forming, it's surface rust, not a warranty issue. A little Barkeeper's Friend or a light sharpening stone pass usually takes it right off.
Store it dry, ideally in a sheath or block, not loose in a drawer where it can pick up moisture.
Five minutes of care after each use is the difference between a knife that develops a beautiful, deepening patina over years and one that shows up in our inbox asking if something's wrong with it.
Why we're telling you this instead of just selling you the knife
Because the warranty means something to us. We'd rather you know how to take care of a real Damascus blade than find out the hard way and think the knife failed you. And if something genuinely does go wrong, structurally, that's on us, and we'll make it right. That's not a marketing line. That's the deal.
