Bjorn Ironside was one of the most prolific Vikings. He and his men raided coastal towns through France, Spain, Sicily, Italy and North Africa. During a battle in Italy, Bjorn’s crew was unable to breach the walls. He pretended to be dead and had his men ask the town priests to bury him on consecrated ground. Once his coffin was carried into the church, Bjorn leaped out and fought his way to the city gates where he was able to open them so his men could invade. It was rumored that he retired to Scandinavia and lived out his life in wealth and comfort.
While the modernized tracker knife isn't a traditional Viking design, the heft and raw strength are qualities associated with Viking weapons and warriors. We can only imagine that they would have appreciated the weight and strength of this quality knife. You need to hold it for yourself to understand how burly this knife truly is. The curved drop point blade is perfect for survival or combat situations. The offset “saw” will give you extra heavy duty cutting and sawing capabilities. The Micarta handle combined with the raindrop Damascus steel pattern, creates a beautiful one-of-a-kind blade.
