Anubis Handmade Damascus Steel Knife
FS-1860
Regular price $128.99Anubis is the Egyptian God of the afterlife, King of the dead, with the body of a man and head of Jackal. His black head symbolizes the decay of flesh, fitting as he is the overseer and inventor of mummification of the deceased. Anubis is often demonized but he was also revered as the “Protector of the Dead”. He ensured the dead received their burial rights and stood watch over the souls in the afterlife and assisted in their resurrections. Anubis was judge and jury of the deceased. His army of messengers were charged with punishing those who violated tombs or offended the Gods. Also known as the Lord of Mummification, he was also called upon to enforce curses for vengeance.
We have named this exquisite knife after Anubis as a show of honor and respect. This Damascus steel knife, with its upturned blade, is a common style used in ancient Egypt and even seen today. The blue micarta handle and red and gold band has a royal feel to it and is fit for a God or King. The finish of this Damascus steel knife is impeccable as with all Forseti Steel knives and will give you or your loved ones many years of joy.

This is a beautiful knife from blade to handlle. This was was 2nd fixed blade knife I purchased and I must say it is even better than the 1st one, which I purchased as a gift. I bought this for myself and it fits my hand perfectly, with a little more length and heft than the Scythian. Very beautiful blade! Highly recommend!!!
knife is better than expected
handle fits my hands nice
blade structure and finish are exceptional
like the blade length and the damascus definition
also nice work on the spine handle inlay
gives it a real custom presentation
nothing but appreciation for a quality handmade knife
Cut real good
I bought a matching pair of Anubis Knives for my father and myself with an engraving of our last name in the blade of both. This is truly an extraordinary and unique knife with excellent craftsmanship. I’ve been looking for a Damascus blade for a couple years now and never had the money to purchase one, and can confidently say the steel is layered beautifully and looks identical to paintings and other historical sources I have seen describe or portray Damascus steel as was used by various societies throughout history. When I run my finger along the bevel (side) of the blade I can just barely feel the layers of the steel as one is supposed to with Damascus, and I can’t at all feel the engraving of my last name into the blade yet the engraving is very clearly displayed on the Bevel and aligned with the spine of the blade, and the edge of the blade is extremely sharp. The grip/handle of the blade is also fantastic and feels very comfortable in your hands. I have large hands and my father has small ones and we both thought it fit perfectly in our grip. The leather sheath is also excellent, as the blade sits firm within the sheath and requires just the right amount of pressure to pull out, and fits snug on my 5.11 tactical military belt, and the wood box that comes with the knife is a nice bonus. You absolutely cannot beat the price of this blade either. I look forward to buying more blades from Forseti Steel in the future.
Cuts like a dream and is all around a great knife
