The karambit originated among the Minangkabau people of West Sumatra where it was inspired by the claws of a tiger. While the early karambits were used as tools, it was soon weaponized because the curved blade had so much cutting potential. Soldiers in Indonesia would carry a dagger, called a Kris, and a spear. The karambit was always used as a weapon of last resort and close quarters combat. Today the karambit is a favorite among martial artists and tactical users.

The exposed Damascus steel safety ring and blade jimping will give you plenty of control when using this knife. The safety ring helps prevent the knife from sliding in your hand and allows you to spin the karambit to change hand positions.

Came a day early. Whoever makes these knives is an artist. Each knife is slightly different since they're handmade so you still get what you ordered on the site but with tiny variations and details that change from knife to knife so no one has an exact replica. Blade is razor sharp (passed the arm shave test). Comes with a very nice leather sheath and a little wooden box to keep the knife in when not in use

Proper piece of craftsmanship

Absolutely beautiful. Gift for my son for Christmas, and he was amazed by it. Hasn't left his belt. Very well crafted. Would buy it again.

Excellent blade, nice grip & feel. Sheath is good leather with ‘locking’ button to secure blade. Damascus laser etching is of good quality.
Suggested improvements:
1. Make blade dual edged vs inside arc only
2. Double stitch sheath edges vs single stitch
